Our story
Researchers, building the plumbing for EU compliance.
Luxima is a product of MBP Network Technology — a deep-tech company spun out of University College Dublin. We're researchers at heart, turning hard problems in data and AI into something a small business can actually use: EU Digital Product Passport compliance that runs itself.
Deep tech, by origin
Born from UCD research, we're an engineering- and research-led team. We use AI and data systems to make compliance real and verifiable — not cosmetic.
EU-native, Dublin-based
We know the EU market — and the Irish market in particular — from the inside: the regulations, the deadlines, and what they actually mean for a business on the ground.
Built for SMEs
We built Luxima for small and mid-sized producers — the makers and brands who face the same passport rules as the largest multinationals, without the teams or budgets to meet them.
From a research lab in Dublin.
MBP Network Technology grew out of research at University College Dublin — a group fascinated by a deceptively simple question: how do you take the scattered, inconsistent, half-missing data that describes a real product, and turn it into something verifiable enough to stand up to a regulator? It's a genuinely hard computer-science problem, and it's the one we've spent years on.
While we were deep in that work, the EU passed the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. Suddenly our research question had a deadline attached to it — and millions of businesses on the wrong side of it. The companies least equipped to cope weren't the multinationals with compliance departments; they were the small and mid-sized makers who are the backbone of the European economy. So we pointed our research at them.
Luxima is what came out of the lab. It takes the data a business already has — however messy — and uses AI and a rules-driven engine to produce compliant Digital Product Passports automatically, across every regulated category. We're still researchers at heart: rigorous about the data, sceptical of anything that only looks compliant, and quietly determined that the next wave of EU regulation should be something our customers sail through — not something that holds them back.
